Cattery CITRUS has restarted in 2024 as a cat breeder in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture.

In 1993, I met an Abyssinian at a pet store, and when he was unsold, I welcomed him into my home.

This is where I got hooked on Abyssinians.

She was sired by the original top Abyssinian breeder. (He has a great pedigree, but I had to remove it because someone said some heartless words about him.)

I also wondered why he was in the pet store...at first the pet store said 800,000 yen for him...I gave up on him because he was over my budget.

A few months later...I went to the pet store and found a slightly bigger Abyssinian with a dignified face.

I spoke to the manager and said, “I see you got a new kitten,” and he said, 

He said, “No, it's the one from back then.” And I said, “He's getting big (7 months old), and I'll give you a discount. I really wanted to get him, so I said, “If I can use the money I have now...” and he said yes.

I took a day off work to buy it.

At that time, I didn't even know what a cat show was, and the people who helped me in the beginning gave me a lot of knowledge.

After that, I was a breeder, but I had to quit for various reasons.

In 2023, a wonderful boy and girl came into our home.

I am going to build a new Cattery with them.
